I am so sorry about the month long hiatus I had to take from the blog. These last few weeks turned out to be a very busy (but fun!) time for me, and I didn’t want to post anything just for the sake of posting.
I hope you all have had a wonderful summer! I know I have even though it’s gone by far too quickly. I can’t believe I only have a little over a week left to enjoy the relaxing season. Instead of moping around, I want to make sure the small amount of summer I have left is as fun and carefree as it possibly can be. I came up with several fun things to do before summer is officially over and work truly monopolizes your calendar. Hope you enjoy!
1. Treat yourself to a manicure.
What’s better than starting fresh with perfectly polished nails??
2. Make something sweet that you don’t eat very often.
Yesterday while my mom and I were out grocery shopping, we came an advertisement for crepes. The store had set up a display with all the ingredients. Even though I’ve never made a crepe in my life, we ended up buying the ingredients. Why not try your hand out at doing something new before summer ends?
3. Hit up the makeup counter.
Whether you’re running low on your foundation or want to treat yourself to a new lipstick, now is definitely the time to stop by the makeup counter before school and work starts up.
4. Get together with friends you don’t see all the time.
Even though we claim we’re going to keep in touch during the year, we all know that once we’re back at school or the office, we’re going to spend the most time around those particular friends. Before summer ends, make plans with your pals that don’t live near you or that you don’t see very often. Might as well have an outing when you can!
5. Kick back with a good book.
One of the best feelings in the world is getting lost in a good book. Put some time aside on one of these last days of summer to just relax and read for a while.
It feels so good to be blogging again. More posts to come!
xoxo
